GooRevelwood

Make 1 Goo instantly at the Alchemist or Alchemist Assistant with a Mortar, using 1 Bug Dust, 2 Shroud Mushroom, and 1 Springlands Dirt. You must first rescue the Alchemist, obtain and place the Mortar, and craft Bug Dust to unlock Goo. Finish that unlock chain before you gather a big stockpile, or the Goo recipe will not show up in Enshrouded.

Where to Get Goo in Enshrouded: Revelwood Ingredients

Craft Goo through the Alchemist's recipes; your main stops are Lone Thistle for the Mortar, Revelwood's Shroud for mushroom stalks, and Springlands for dirt. Fell Critters in either Springlands or Revelwood supply the Critter Parts you turn into Bug Dust.

Get the Mortar at Lone Thistle

Rescue the Alchemist first, then follow The Alchemist's Mortar quest to the Alchemist's Tower at Lone Thistle in Revelwood. Bring the Mortar back and physically place it within the Alchemist's reach. Carrying it around is not enough for recipes that require the workshop.

Next, turn 1 Critter Parts into 1 Bug Dust at the Alchemist with the Mortar. This craft is instant, and making Bug Dust enables the Goo recipe. If you're stuck before Goo appears, work through those prerequisites in order rather than searching your personal crafting menu.

Bug Dust needs the Alchemist and the Mortar; once you craft it, Goo appears under Resources in the same menu.

Gather Shroud Mushroom in Revelwood

Chop down mushroom stalks in the Revelwood Shroud to get Shroud Mushroom. Look for tall stalks with green light shining from their gills. They can grow alone or in clusters, including along paths and in open areas.

Choose larger stalks when you have a choice: they drop more mushrooms, and a large stalk may yield 8 to 12 Shroud Mushrooms. Treat that as a possible haul rather than a guaranteed return from every plant. The Enshrouded Shroud Mushroom gathering page is the next stop if this ingredient is holding up your crafting.

Shroud Mushroom and Shroud Liquid are different ingredients. For the mushroom recipe below, gather the Revelwood stalk material rather than substituting Shroud Liquid from Springlands mushrooms.

Collect Critter Parts and Springlands Dirt

Kill Fell Critters in the Springlands or Revelwood Shroud and collect their Critter Parts drops. These are the raw input for Bug Dust, so you can gather them during the same Revelwood trip as your mushrooms.

For Springlands Dirt, equip a pickaxe and dig soil in Springlands. Keep the regional name in mind: the recipe calls for Springlands Dirt, so finish this part there instead of assuming dirt dug in Revelwood will fill the same slot.

How to Make Goo in Enshrouded: An Efficient Gathering Loop

Prioritize large Revelwood mushroom stalks, collect Fell Critter drops during that outing, and gather your dirt in Springlands before returning to craft. This groups the two Shroud ingredients into one trip and leaves the soil collection as a separate, straightforward stop.

  1. Finish the workshop unlock. Recover the Lone Thistle Mortar and place it at your base before committing to a long ingredient run.
  2. Dig Springlands Dirt. Bring a pickaxe and gather the regional soil required by the recipe.
  3. Gather in Revelwood's Shroud. Chop large mushroom stalks and collect Critter Parts from Fell Critters you kill. Mushroom clusters can occur where enemy density is high, so weigh the extra gathering against the fighting required to reach them.
  4. Return to the Alchemist. Make Bug Dust first, then select Goo with the Mortar placed nearby.

The result is 1 Goo, crafted instantly. Because each Goo needs twice as many mushrooms as Bug Dust, check your mushroom stack before spending more time hunting critters. A good stalk harvest can shift your next bottleneck to Critter Parts instead.

What Is Goo Used For: Blizzard I and Crafting Progression

Goo can become Blizzard I staff charges at the Alchemist: 3 Goo produces 20 charges instantly. Blizzard I is a level 15 spell that creates a freezing storm, damages enemies inside its area, and applies a slow debuff.

That gives you a concrete target for your first crafting batch if you want spell ammunition. Make enough Goo for the charge recipe, then decide whether to keep gathering for equipment instead of turning your entire ingredient supply into Goo immediately.

Goo also appears in Acid Bite, Adventurer Trousers, and Healer Tunic recipes. For a Healer Tunic shopping trip, the Enshrouded Amber gathering page helps with another ingredient in that recipe. Keep the Enshrouded list of materials handy when the next crafting requirement sends you after a different resource.

Goo Recipe Changes: Keep Shroud Liquid Separate

Goo's resource requirements were reduced on April 21, 2026, and early crafting progression and many recipe costs were reworked on October 14, 2026. Check the ingredient names in your Alchemist's crafting menu before spending a full gathering trip on an older recipe.

The February 22, 2024 Early Access recipe used 1 Bug Dust, 1 Dirt, and 1 Shroud Liquid. The June 1, 2026 recipe uses 1 Bug Dust, 2 Shroud Mushroom, and 1 Springlands Dirt, producing 1 Goo. Keep those recipes separate when gathering; combining their ingredient lists sends you after the wrong mushroom material.

Once you have Goo, take it to the Alchemist for Blizzard I charges or put it toward your next equipment craft.
