Farm Fell Draconian Vultures southwest of Kindlewastes Ancient Spire for your next Flame upgrade. The Enshrouded Vulture Talon is an enemy drop you need when strengthening the Flame from level 5 to level 6. Start near the spire, work through the neighboring cliffs and ruins, and leave the longer trip toward Zephr until you still need more.
Where to Find Vulture Talons in Kindlewastes
Kill Fell Draconian Vultures in the Shroud southwest of Kindlewastes Ancient Spire and collect their talon drops. Your targets are flying enemies around cliffs and ruins, so look out over the lower ground before moving on.

Bring a ranged or magic attack if you can. Keeping the bird away from you is useful because its close-range talon swipe deals heavy damage. If you fight in melee, successful parries can eventually knock it to the ground and stun it.
Don't turn a bad fight into a foot chase. Vultures are difficult to outrun, and their swipe can deal bonus backstab damage while you flee. Glide away if you need to disengage. Watch for the ranged Shroud projectile too: it explodes on impact and leaves a small patch of dense Shroud.
Vulture Talon Farming Route Near Kindlewastes Spire
Clear the nearby cliff and ruin stops first, then extend toward Zephr only if you still need talons. These first stops sit close together, making them the practical choice when you want less travel between fights.
Scout from above, then head west to the nests
From the spire area, look down for a bird flying past. Move west and climb onto the cliff with two vulture nests; check the air around them before leaving.

Check across the gap for another bird
You can sometimes spot a third bird from the same ledge. If you cannot see it, glide to the opposite side and look again instead of waiting at the nests.

Search the ruined walls
Continue to the ruins and scan above the broken walls. You can find vultures circling the ruins, so keep looking above the structures rather than searching only at ground level.

Visit the chest area near Ridgeback Mine and the next cliff
Check the golden chest area near Ridgeback Mine for a nearby vulture. The open chest and glowing light beside the slope are useful landmarks. After that, move to the next cliff lookout and search for another bird flying nearby.

Add Zephr and the abandoned village only if needed
If you still need talons, head to the cliffs near Zephr town and look for a flying vulture. These remaining stops are farther away, so skip the detour once you have what you need.

Then follow the road to the abandoned village and check around its ruins for another bird.

What Vulture Talons Are Used For
Save your talons for strengthening the Flame from level 5 to level 6 before spending them on gloves. If that upgrade is your goal, compare your inventory with the altar's recipe before taking the longer farming detour. Keep the other materials to upgrade Flame in mind so you can work toward the whole recipe.
Spare talons also go into Archmage, Assassin, Deadeye, Deerstalker, Rogue, Sage, Soldier, Warden, and Warlock Gloves. For gloves that also require Iron Bars, plan your iron ore farming alongside the talon run.
Vulture Talon Drop and Flame Recipe Changes
Fell Vultures now drop more talons, and the resource requirements for Flame levels 6, 7, 8, and 9 have been reduced. Both changes arrived with the full release, making the next Flame upgrade less demanding to gather for.
Check the quantity displayed at your Flame Altar before deciding how much longer to farm. Stop when you have enough for your upgrade, or continue for the gloves you want to craft.
Terrain transitions were also reworked, especially between Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes. Navigate by the spire, cliff nests, ruins, and mine area as you work through the route.
Once you have your talons, return to the Flame Altar and gather any remaining upgrade ingredients.
